35 years in business!

I have been buying, selling, and trading cards for over 35 years. It's what I love to do!

  • How I started

Starting in 1988 at the age of 16, I found my old box of 1978 baseball cards I stored in an old army ammo box. After doing a little research, and buying a Beckett for pricing, I realized that my cards had some value. From this point I started buying cards I would see at convenience stores, opening the packs, sorting the singles, and storing them in binders. I was hooked. I immediately applied for a business license which allowed me to buy and sell.

I would travel to various "warehouse" stores that offered the opportunity to buy at a discount. With a decent inventory in hand, I would build sets, and open packs, and then sell what I could at local shows my dad and I were attending. I spent countless hours organizing, sleeving, and readying my cards for display.

  • How it grew

After amassing a decent-sized collection I realized I needed to start selling some of my extras, so my dad and I started doing card shows throughout Western Washington starting in 1989. I remember I made $740 at my first card show and was shocked! I sold some cards! After that, we would do 1 to 2 shows a month. It was fantastic spending time with my dad, stopping at Denny's after a show to talk about the day's events.

In 1998 I found eBay which allowed me to continue my activities online and reach a much larger audience.

I continued this into college and took a break just after completing my studies as my career took off. I dabbled on eBay and became much more active in the early to mid-2000s. My favorite players are Eddie Mathews and Ken Griffey Jr so while I would sell some on eBay, I continue adding to my growing personal collection.

  • Where am I going

After 1000s of transactions on eBay, Facebook, and other websites I see how customers ought to be treated. I see when someone does a superior job packaging a special card, box, or pack. I understand how good it feels that someone treated me fairly, with honesty and took care to deliver my purchases in a manner that showed they cared. I do the same with everything I sell. I package it the way it "should" be packaged. Safe, secure, and with care. I am thoroughly clear in my descriptions and never hide anything. It only takes one poor transaction to lose a customer and potentially many more. On my pages, you will find honest descriptions, reasonable shipping fees, and rock-solid packaging. I will continue to morph and grow my collection as I continue to explore this vast hobby. I love it! I hope you enjoy visiting my website.
