Definitions (quick reference)
Merge mode
- Side‑by‑side (Horizontal): A left, B right.
- Stacked (Vertical): A on top, B below.
- Overlay: B blended over A (@ opacity/blend).
Scale strategy
- Match heights: For horizontal layouts, A & B share height.
- Match widths: For vertical layouts, A & B share width.
- Original: Keep sizes.
- Fit max: Fit each into Max width/height.
Alignment
- Horizontal: Left / Center / Right.
- Vertical: Top / Center / Bottom.

- Padding: Outer margin around the composition.
